Avery Fisher Hall

On Monday I had my concert in Avery Fisher Hall. We (Cantare and some people from other choruses) sang Kishu Uno Tonosan, Nishka Banja, Adiemus, Kyrie, Can You Hear, El Monigote, Senor Ten Piedad, Gloria A Dios, Creo En Dios, and a Hebrew song that I can't remember the name of. The concert was great, we learned all the pieces on Saturday except for Creo En Dios and Kishu Uno Tonosan (but only Cantare knew that). Francisco said we were really great, though, so no complaints!

Coming up on June 6th is our annual Spring Concert (ugh). Lots of extra rehearsals for that....

Well, there's not much to say today. If you want any more info on my chorus, visit http://www.ypc.org/.
Bye 4 now!

Nightwish

I have discovered a new band! My dad's friend from New Hampshire came to New York with her sister for a vacation. I'm friends with her two daughters and I just found out that we have the same taste in almost everything- including My Chemical Romance! So, her mom told me that she's really into this band called Nightwish. So I got a couple of their CDs.... And they're really good! This is their website and a few of their videos:

Sleeping Sun

Bless the Child

Bye Bye Beautiful

The first two videos have Tarja Turunen as the lead singer, but the last video has Anette Olzon who just replaced Tarja in 2007. They've had 6 full-length studio albums, their latest one being Dark Passion Play. Check them out!

Congrats to David Cook!

Congratulations, David! If for some reason you don't know what I mean, David Cook just won American Idol on Wednesday. I'm so glad America finally got it right! I was expecting David Archuleta to win because he's cute, young, sweet and a great ballad singer. But David Cook was definitely more of a musician and had more experience. America always votes for the cute one, but they finally got it right! Of course, I would have been extremely happy if either Davids won; they're both stars. Here are a couple of my fave performances by Cook:

Innocent

Billie Jean

Rock on David Cook! Woo hoo!

Hello!

Hello to all! This is my new blog! It's my second one and it is dedicated to anything and everything with any relation to music. I decided to separate my life from things that are of importance (lol). I may or may not actually post today, but this is just the beginning! Welcome to [enter creative blog title here]!
